I’ve always been interested in blogging, but this is my first real blog.
One thing I’ve worried about is being able to write enough content on a particular subject.
While I love books, I’m not a particularly fast reader, so writing frequent review blog posts would be difficult for me if only reviewing books.
I enjoy writing, but I’ve never been published.
I have cats and love them, but they often do the same things and, while I find them eternally endearing, I was never convinced that a stranger would appreciate 23 pictures that are nearly the same with commentary of Lily shouting at me while somehow being adorable.
So, what do I write about? About being Canadian and living in the UK? About all of the weird things that I’m still getting used to here and all of the things that I miss not being home? Or that I use “home” to describe where I live in the UK and Canada, to the confusion of my boyfriend?
Do I write about my anxiety, which is not completely debilitating for me (thankfully) but which is ever-present in my life?
What about if I want to write about something outside of my focused interests?
Not write at all? Or…
Write about everything!
Yep, that’s it! This, I feel, would work best for me to be able to write about different topics.
I’m hoping that my writing will evolve the more I write.
My main goal is to have a platform to express myself and to feel like I’m contributing, however quietly, to societal conversation.
So, hello! Thank-you for getting to the end of this post and I hope we will have some good conversations.
And if I’m only having converastions with myself, I don’t think that’s entirely a bad thing.
Lots of love,
