NaNoWriMo Update: Week Three

The third week of NaNoWriMo has come to an end and I’ve managed to get ahead of schedule. This will be my penultimate post about NaNoWriMo for this year; in the next and final one I’ll hopefully be able to announce that I have completed it for this year.

Here are my stats so far:

Total word count:

A nearly full green circle with "41937/50000 total words" beside it
I’m so exicted for this circle to be full!

Overall Progress:

A line graph with a light blue line line underneath and a dark blue line above.
I’ve been working really hard to make sure my progress has stayed above the light blue line. It would be too stressful for me otherwise.

My day-by-day spreadsheet breakdown:

A spreadsheet showing the date, word count target, actual word count, and words written this day.

A fun extra

The NaNoWriMo website gives awards when you reach particular goals, and I was happy to receive this one, so I wanted to share.

A 40k badge for writing 40000 words.
The end is in sight!

For next week

I’m still on holiday for all of next week, which I am very excited about. My birthday is next week, so I won’t write much (or likely at all) on that day, but I’m planning on writing extra words to compensate for that.

I’ve been enjoying the writing I’ve been doing. The end is in sight and I’m looking forward to editing it. There are parts that I want to change and others I want to make more concise, but for the most part I’m happy with what I’ve got so far. I think it will need a lot of work to get it polished, but I’m looking forward to the challenge!
