A Temporary Change in Direction

So, it’s been a while.

I’ve been dealing with some physical and mental health issues for a while, which has made it difficult for me to focus on reading and working on my story. They’ve been prevalent for a while, but I decided to push through and, unsurprisingly, burned out.

I’ve really missed writing on here and getting the opportunity to interact with people, but not reviewing books on a book-focused blog made it difficult.

For the next little while, I am going to focus on more general posts, especially regarding my health.

I do want to go back to posting regular book reviews and writing updates, but I’ve come to accept that that is not possible for me at the moment. I found a few completed book reviews in my drafts which I will be posting.

One of the areas I am going to be posting about in the near future is PCOS. I have mentioned it previously, but now I am feeling more ready to dive into researching more about it.

I am also going to make posts on having hearing loss with how it affects me and how I am learning to manage it until I can see an ENT doctor and get hearing aids.

There are other topics that I will probably talk about, but my blog is primarily going to be focused on my physical and mental health and how I am working to get better – for a little while, at least.

I am feeling really optimistic about this change, if a little nervous, but I’m hoping that this will help me make sense of everything, help other people with similar issues, and get me back onto a routine of posting.

Alongside the difficulties that I’ve been having, I have had a lot of good things happen – and good people, so I am going to do a weekly post on things that have brought me happiness that week.

I’m so excited to be back!

I’ve been visiting local areas and finally got to go to Sarehole Mill!
