Being vaccinated

A bit bittersweet because I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I am grateful to be vaccinated as I have not really gotten ill. I can’t even imagine what I would have been like had I not had the vaccine.
I’m also grateful that I can isolate safely and am not putting anyone else in danger of catching it.
My last isolation date is tomorrow; I’m looking forward to being able to leave the house again!
Pokemon Snap

To fill the boredom of isolating, John gave me an early birthday present: Pokemon Snap. I have been really enjoying this game!
I enjoy regular Pokemon games, but have really only played random games from the franchise. My most played are Ruby, Sapphire, and Colosseum. These are all from the same generation and so were cross-compatible.
Pokemon Snap is in a different format. Instead of catching and battling Pokemon, you go get to take pictures of different Pokemon in their natural habitats and gradually get to see them become more comfortable with your character. It’s relaxing, cute, and has been really nice to pick up and play.
Pause for Mind

Pause for Mind is a subscription for Mind, a mental health charity in the UK. It is part donation and part subscription box.
Each month there is a mindfulness activity. This month was to make a pom pom bookmark. I think it’s cute but I didn’t tie my yarn tight enough, so I’m going to have to have another go!
There are a lot of resources and information booklets (and even a notebook!) and I’m looking forward to receiving one each month.
If you’re in the UK and are interested in also receiving their monthly subscription, I’d definitely recommend taking a look! The Mind website has a lot of helpful resources, so even if you’re not interested in the subscription, there could be helpful information on there for anyone who needs it.
